Teaching

“Replication is held as the gold standard for ensuring the reliability of published scientific literature.” (p. 600, Frank & Saxe, 2012)

I taught a lab course in I/O psychology to undergraduate psychology students at Nanyang Technological University.  I designed the course around conducting a replication of a recently published I/O-related research in top-tier psychology journals.  Following Brandt et al.’s (2014) replication recipe, students completed pre-registration and post-completion reports on the Open Science Framework.  My goal in teaching this course was to help students learn the basic tools of psychological science, while at the same time ensuring the reliability of the published literature and helping students understand the value of open, ethical science.
